Michael Bator is founder of Micadi Health. He is the former Managing Director and Healthcare Research Analyst at Jennison Associates, a U.S. mutual fund and pension fund management company with assets over $150 billion, where he is responsible for evaluating and recommending public equity investments in the Medical Devices, European Pharmaceuticals, Managed Care, PBM, HCIT and Distribution sectors for the Large Cap Growth Funds. Michael serves as Analyst for the Prudential Jennison Health Sciences Fund (PHLAX), a top performing healthcare mutual fund with approximately $2.4 billion in AUM in long only public and private equity investments across all market caps. In addition, He serves as Analyst for the Jennison Global Healthcare Fund, long-short hedge fund with over $1 billion in AUM. In this role, he generates quantitative valuation analyses including income statement, cash flow & balance sheet projections. Michael was responsible for 70+% of fund’s shorts in the Fund’s first three years, returning positive absolute short performance. Prior to this, Michael was Vice President, Head of New York Strategy Practice for iXL, an Internet professional services firm providing systems integration, engineering and creative services to major international corporations, where he was responsible for marketing, selling, managing and delivering consulting services. At iXL, he was promoted to the head strategy group of the New York office, where he grew the department from 3 employees to 22 in one year. Earlier in his career, Michael worked at strategy consulting firms Cambridge Pharma Consultancy, Lexington Consultancy, and The Boston Consulting Group, where he built and lead teams, and was instrumental at driving revenue growth. Michael earned an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He earned a BA in Psychology from Princeton University, with a concentration in neurophysiology.
