Phin Upham is a principal at Thiel Capital, an investment firm founded by Peter Thiel. He previously worked at Morgan Stanley in the investment banking division and as a journalist at National Post/UPI. He has been a visiting scholar at Columbia Business School and the New York University Department of Economics. He is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Upham earned a B.A. from Harvard University and an M.B.A. and Ph.D. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
