Mr. Belt is Vice Chairman of Orchard Global Capital Group. Mr. Belt previously served in the Administration of President George W. Bush as Executive Director and CEO of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, where he was responsible for leading the federal pension insurance program and overseeing a $60 billion investment portfolio. He also was appointed by President Bush to serve on the Social Security Advisory Board. Mr. Belt has held other executive and senior staff positions in the public, private and non-profit sectors, including as Senior Managing Director of the Milken Institute, chairman of Palisades Capital Management LLC, and counsel to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and U.S. Senate Banking Committee. He serves or has served on the boards of directors of Shenkman Capital Management, RMIT, Inc., and Zurich American Life Insurance Company (NY). He recently was a member of the SOA Blue Ribbon Commission on Public Pension Plans. Mr. Belt received a BS in Business Administration (Hons) from the University of Nebraska, a JD from Georgetown University, and he completed the senior executive fellows program at Harvard University.
