David Oliver has two decades of experience in entertainment, working as a media banker, a business development executive and a record producer. He is Director of Finance at Tribeca Enterprises, a global diversified media company with businesses including the Tribeca Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Institute.
Prior to Tribeca, David was Principal at Oliver Media Finance, a strategic-advisory firm specializing in film and television finance, representing private equity and mezzanine funds, and independent producers. Clients included television and film funds ranging in size from $50 million to $100 million as well as Academy Award-nominated film producers.
He also worked as an entertainment banker at Comerica Bank and City National Bank, where he sourced, evaluated and closed more than $1 billion in transactions. These included corporate finance deals for studios such as eOne, DreamWorks and Summit/Lionsgate, and production financing for numerous television and film properties including The Wachowskis’ Sense 8, the Twilight film franchise, Neill Blomkamp’s District 9 and Oliver Stone’s W.
David began his career producing records and running an independent classical music record company in New York. He received an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, a Master’s in Musicology from Yale University and a BA from Brandeis University.
