Dr. Jeffrey Blander currently serves as the Chief Innovation Officer for the Office of The Global AIDS Coordinator and Health Diplomacy, U.S. Department of State. In this role, Jeff supports the provision of overall leadership, guidance, and programs for cultivating, incubating, and scaling high impact innovation strategies and initiatives for the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Jeff is a leapfrog innovator, strategic disruptor, and transformation specialist. He is passionate about the intersection of the public and private sectors to strengthen health delivery systems, discovery networks, and adoption of applied technologies to tackle the double burden of infectious and non-communicable diseases. Jeff received his BS in Economics from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania as well as Doctorate and Master’s Degrees from The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
